Online Workshop via Zoom
Saturday 3rd April
Make a beautiful, sustainable and eco friendly macrame grocery bag.
Grab yourself a drink and learn macrame in the comfort of your home. During the workshop you’ll make a beautiful, sustainable and eco friendly grocery bag perfect for carrying your fruit and veg in. You’ll learn the ancient form of textile making, using knotting. This includes learning knotting techniques such as square knots and a gather knot. Your finished bag will measure approximately 85cm from the top of handle to bottom of the bag and will be strong enough to carry groceries in.
The workshop is suitable for beginners or those who need refreshing in the craft. You will be shown step by step in an online workshop how to create your piece of macrame. Your ticket price includes, the online workshop and your macrame craft kit sent to your home. The kit will include your cord and all the equipment needed to make your bag (you will just need to provide scissors). You will be able to choose from a range of colours of macrame cord. We will send you an email after your booking has gone through to confirm your colour choice for your cord.
Our online workshop will be held via Zoom and run by Crafty Bears Holly. You will need to set up a Zoom account beforehand. We will send you the link and ID for joining the workshop 4 days before the workshop starts.
Bookings will close 7 days before the workshop to allow time for your kits to arrive.
For the workshop you will need somewhere to hang your work from and a device to join the workshop on. The device could be a computer, tablet or smartphone (the bigger the screen the better). It must have both audio and visual ability.
Please note; unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds at the current time. We can however move your booking to another date.
